ImageThe Heatons Sports Club Limited is a community amateur sports club offering rugby, lacrosse, cricket and tennis to all ages and abilities.

 

 

 The club operates from its modern purpose built clubhouse with bar, catering and function room facilities and has a current membership of around 500.

The club wishes to appoint a part time experienced finance manager to manage its financial affairs including:
 
•    maintaining the club's accounting records
•    raising sales invoices
•    carrying out bank reconciliations    
•    providing income and expenditure analyses
•    producing trading accounts for bar and catering activities
•    preparing and submitting VAT returns  
•    preparing end of year PAYE/NI returns   
•    reporting to the club executive committee on the club's finances
•    carrying out other administrative functions that may be requested by the club executive committee
 
The role would be best suited to a motivated individual used to working without supervision and who can assist the club's volunteer executive committee in operating and improving the club.  Applicants should be computer literate and experienced with spreadsheets and the SAGE accounts package.  The role can be carried out from home although some evening attendance at the club premises may be required.  Applicants should have suitable IT equipment of their own available.     
 
There will be some flexibility with working hours.  The role will involve 45 to 50 hours per month.
 
Applicants are asked to provide details of their qualifications and experience together with suggestions as to how they would work with and report to the volunteer executive committee.
