Funeral arrangements have been made for Monday 7th December 2009 at 1pm to be held at St Thomas's Church, Heaton Chapel.

It is with much sadness both personally and on behalf of the club that I must inform you that Dave Berry passed away suddenly Wednesday night.

The Heatons Sports Club has lost not only a serving exec member but a loyal supporter and above all a true gentleman.

Dave was for those of you who don't know a talented cricket and lacrosse player for Mersey and served in a variety of roles for the club including groundsman and latterly as president. He was undoubtedly a true club man and we will all miss him as a friend.

Our thoughts are with Sylvia who for those who don't know shared Dave's passion for the club and served as the Mersey treasurer for a number of years.
