ImageWelcome to the Spring update for all Members, Sponsors and Business Partners at 'The Heatons'.

Ground Advertising

Many of you will have noticed that the first 100' of ground advertising boards are now in place – thanks go to the companies and individuals that have supported us and also to Jamie Gallagher for putting them all up. Whilst enquiries keep coming in I would ask that everyone tries to find one good lead, maybe your neighbour has his own business locally, maybe you work for someone keen on local sport or maybe you have a business of your own to promote. Anyone taking an advertising board for 3 years will be featured on the websites and on the 'Sponsors Roll of Honour' in the Clubhouse.

Club Shop / Club Photographer

Discussions are on going to have a Club shop in place as soon as possible – details to follow.

We are delighted that a local freelance photographer – Colin McMorris has offered his services to the club. He will come down whenever possible and take action shots of all sports which can then be used for  section websites / publicity etc. A display of recent photos will be on view in the clubhouse and on Colin's brand new website – www.colmacphotos.com – recent photos from the Lacrosse 1sts and Rugby 2nds are already on the site.
A price list for the photos is also displayed for those wishing to make a purchase, with a payment coming back to the club for every photo sold.  If anyone has a special fixture or event coming up, or wants to introduce themselves to Colin, there is a contact form available.

Clubhouse use

Although bookings are gradually on the increase the Clubhouse is very underused and a big effort is being made over the next few months to keep the momentum going. I realise that pleas have already been made to members to use the club more and to promote it amongst their friends and work colleagues as an excellent place for a function, meeting or special event – why not bring a friend down for a drink one evening, if everyone did that, the Bar Chairman would be a happy man..

As has been said before, with everyone pulling together, the future and associated financial stability of the Club could be very bright - let's not rely on others to do it all.
