CODE OF CONDUCT FOR JUNIOR MEMBERS

Heaton Moor RUFC Junior Members should abide by the following:

·         Play rugby and train within the laws and spirit of the game.

·         Respect team-mates, opponents, coaches and officials. Do not make derogatory comments or gestures about team-mates or opponents. Never try to intimidate opponents by threat or excessive triumphalism.

·         Be polite to referees and respect their decisions. Never show dissent.

·         Control one’s emotions. Never throw tantrums or show anger at team-mates, opponents, officials or spectators. Never bear grudges or seek to intentionally hurt anyone.

·         Keep to agreed timings for practice and matches – be punctual and reliable. Make every effort to inform your coach or manager if you cannot play or train, or if you will be late.

·         Wear the appropriate kit for training and matches – mindful of weather conditions. Wear mouthguards at all times, shin pads, skull hats and body protection as preferred. Use safety studs in boots.

·         Enjoy participating and congratulate the performance of team-mates, opponents and officials.
